Sam began dancing when she just 3 years old and has never stopped. From an early age it was clear that it was not just going to be a hobby! Training at Allied School of Dance, Sam took ballet, tap and modern exams to an advanced level achieving distinctions along the way. At age 18, Sam got a offered a scholarship place at London Studio Centre upon which she achieved a BA Honors in Dance and Theatre.
Following her degree, she went on to perform on a UK tour with Spirit Productions in 2009. During her time performing, Sam filled her spare time with brilliant teaching opportunities and started to further her career as a dance teacher, a path she loved from the moment she was a student teacher.
In 2012, Sam went on to qualify as a dance teacher with taking her Level 4 in Dance Teacher Training with the British Ballet Organisation. Since then, Sam has also gained her DDI, and more recently her DDE in Modern Theatre with the ISTD gaining over 90% in both practical exams. Clare Pluse Ruscombe “
Sam and Brandon are so full of enthusiasm and energy - it's not hard to see why my daughters come out of every class smiling, and can't wait to practice and perform their songs for us at home! The teachers take the time to really get to know each child, and really understand their specific needs. My youngest daughter can be very shy, but since starting at Spin Academy has really come out of her shell.”
Judy DearingTwyford “
SPIN is a great way for my daughter to let her expressive side out! She has a great time learning new skills and gaining confidence in singing, dancing and speaking in an upbeat positive environment. Sam and her team bring out the best in my daughter with fun games and activities and working towards a show at the end of term is really exciting for her!”
